We are hosting a series of regional training seminars at over 30 venues throughout the U.K.
providing an opportunity for you to review/update your knowledge and help maximise the
potential of C.A.R.L. in your office.
The course is designed to cover a wide range of topics helping support newer members of staff
and consolidate the knowledge of those more experienced.
Topics covered will include:
- User Setup – It’s effects on the system and on the accounts
- Landlords & Properties – the essential yet often overlooked options
- Prospective tenants – so many agreements, so little time!
- Deposits – a review of the options and compliance with the range of schemes
- Introduction to property & tenant accounts – basic ledgers
- Rent entry – the options and how they impact
- Repairs, correct policing, mitigating liability and maximising the benefits
- Statements – a detailed examination of the options from pro-forma invoicing to using BACS
- Payments – monitoring, clearing & maintenance of un-presented payments

Reconciliation – understanding the essentials including, Bank Statement Reconciliation &
Balance of Rent Account
- Retentions & Overpayments – what are they and how should they be administered
To help ensure all delegates get as much from the day as possible places at each venue have
been restricted with places available from just £180.00 per person (see table below)

In addition to the training course all bookings (dependent upon your current C.A.R.L.
installation) also include:
C.A.R.L. v4 – System review (normal cost £99)
In advance of the course an appointment is booked for a trainer to remotely dial in and
undertake a review of your system, the options used and following a discussion highlight
areas that might be beneficial to your business.
This is an invaluable part of the regional training package and provides an opportunity for a
focused discussion on your business and the unique challenges you face, providing a
springboard into the course where you will explore in far greater detail some key system
functionality.
C.A.R.L. SQL Upgrade (typical cost £250.00)
If running C.A.R.L. version 3 (or V4 access) the booking includes an upgrade to C.A.R.L.
v4 SQL*.
If migrating from version 3 you will also receive a complimentary telephone review call
designed to outline some of the key changes.
* The upgrade is subject to results of compatibility testing.
Who will benefit from attending the course?
The course is designed to help support users with experience of the C.A.R.L. system. So long
as you understand the basic principals of functions such as addling landlords, properties and
tenants then you should benefit from attending the course.
For more experienced users and/or those looking to get to grips with client account
management for the first time, then this course will examine a wide range of options that lay
the groundwork for successful proactive account management.
Managers looking to get a better understanding of why things work the way they do, gain
insight into the options available and/or a better understanding of the impacts everyday
transactions have on the system and what C.A.R.L. can do for you.

Should you wish to pay by cheque or BACS we can reserve places for three days, places can
only be confirmed once payment has been received.
